That's what I remember (although I was very young) liking most about Sportsman's Park.

Sportsman's Park is one of the things I wish I could have seen. I know downtown STL needs an engine down there to stay alive, but St. Louis's best aspect is its awesome neighborhoods, and a ballpark that was part of that scene would be awesome.

ROB NEYER
I like those two best, even absent the history.

HUH??? Wrigley is a toilet even with the history, I know they have fixed up Fenway some.... but Wrigley is a dump.
Wrigler is a pit, but still a great place to watch a game. The Cell (White Sox home) is much more comfortable in terms food, facilities, moving around, but certainly lacks the ambience of Wrigley.

the cell????? ugh i hate it. wont go back there again

the food might be better, but who really needs more than two brats with all the fixings and a couple of cold frosty ones

and worse at the Cell you are so far removed from the game that watching a game there is almost pointless. it was worse than being in the upper deck at busch II

the neighborhood is terrible- it might get better in another decade or three it might be gentrified to the point where it might be fun to hang out after the game

i guess getting there is easier if you live on the south side- but damn, who wants to live there

then there are the sox fans
god, i hate them more then yankee fans

i have been to 14 parks and the cell is way, way way at the bottom of places to watch a game.

It just is a tragedy that they built the cell right before they figured out how to build great ballparks (camden, et al)

(should i have posted this in rants)
