Remember when the complaint was only that Reggie strikes out too much?

Aye, 'tis true. He's had some good at-bats lately.

I'd really like to see him develop into a serviceable spare outfielder, because I'm down on So and don't want to see PW next year (maybe Stavinoha or Ankiel will be able to take his place).

Shoot, young feller, I can remember when they complained that Ozzie didn't hit enough.

Who'd a thunk it, but it's reality.

Adam Kennedy, 2B
Yadier Molina, C
David Eckstein, SS
Braden Looper, RHP

*head explodes*
Is this the game that we will look back on as the turning point of the season? Where Skippy solves both our outfield and lead off problems?

(hey, it's hard to think rationally with an exploded head...and besides, just in case this randomly proves true, I want my propers at the end of the year... )

Eck has 8 hits in his last 14 games played. I love the guy, but it's time for a change. Maybe this will wake him up a bit. I can't take anymore pop up outs. It hurts! Skip has been hitting the ball great lately, I like the move. Hopefully it works out well.

We always hit Sheets well, and Looper has been our "ace".

I say we take this one 6-3. Pujols goes deep twice.

Good move. Shake up the lineup a bit. i'd really would have liked to see Duncan hit 4 or 5 and Jimmy hit 2. But thats just me. I know they are sad, and things arent looking good, but we need a fire..and that fire is a man named SKip!

Those were good times JC.

Our lineup 1-7 was so solid thats the only thing you could complain about.

Matheny got a free pass due to the fact that we had Walker, Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, Sanders, and Renteria all in the same lineup.

Seriously, will a Cardinals team ever see a better 2-7 than that ever again?

I like switching up the lineup, trying to make something happen.

I wouldn't mind switching hitting Duncan cleanup, they might have to eventually.

1. Skip
2. Edmonds
3. Pujols
4. Duncan
5. Rolen
6. Kennedy
7. Molina
8. Eckstein

We should give this lineup a shot.

I mean our offensive production has been so bad I wouldn't even mind seeing this:
1. Kennedy (maybe he'll get some much needed confidence hitting first.)
2. Edmonds
3. Pujols
4. Duncan
5. Rolen
6. Speez
7. Molina
8. Eckstein

For some reason I really like the idea that Eckstein isn't in the one slot anymore.

I'd still rather keep Duncan #2 and Edmonds at #4 or #5. I don't think Baby Dunc is ready to be the rbi guy, and I think Jimmy will come around.
