Well, we've got 4 interested. Maybe we'll get more if we take steps toward establishing a league.

Anybody up for setting a day/time for a draft? I'll throw one out there:

Oct. 28 - 4pm CT

As for setting up a league, I can do that if needed. Just let me know via this thread or PM.

Ok, just a spur of the moment type thing, as I haven't done any research yet, but I decided last night to set up a last minute fantasy league. Hey, it's a chance for some baseball fans to talk hoops during the wait until Spring Training. (Even if we only get 5 teams, it's better than not playing at all.)

I know the season tips off tonight, so I'm letting everyone get an NBA preview before the draft. The draft will be held at 10:45pm CT tomorrow night (Halloween).

Here are the details:

League name: Midnight Scramble
League URL: http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/165252
Password: hoops (open to the public, so might not be needed)
Draft: Live
League setup: Roto
Roster Positions: PG, SG, SF, PF, C, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN
Stat Categories: FGM, FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, OREB, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO
Max Trades: No max
Max Moves: 20
Games played Max: None

I'm open to any modifications. Hope you'll sign up. (You know you want to.) If you have any questions, please let me know.

I'm in.

Looks like there's 4 of us right now, though I'm not sure if the other 2 joined via it being open to the public or jumped on over from here.

For anyone having trouble signing up, you have to enter the league number (165252) and the password on the join custom league page in the yahoo sign up.

Awesome! Jocephus PM'd me to say he signed up, too, so at least 3 of the 4 are from here.

We may get more, either through the board or by it being public. I would prefer a board-only league, but I knew deep down we wouldn't be able to get a full league that way, so I opened it up. Hopefully we get more than 4, but if not, it's better than not playing at all.

Not sure if I'll be around for the all/any or the live draft. I'm in the EST zone and I turn into a pumpkin at midnight. But we'll see.

We're up to 8.. check that, 9 teams! I know clevername, Jocephus, stlouie_lipp and TabascoElvis are in. Don't know who the other 4 are.

As for the draft, I anticipate it will take an hour. 9 teams (so far), 10 players per team. I used to be in a 12 team, 144 player draft and that took about 1-1.5 hours.

I think the excitement of the draft will keep you awake, Elvis.
