I don't follow college recruiting that closely, but can someone confirm if it is normal for schools to stockpile so much talent at one position? Will it be necessary to have Gabbert AND Dalton?
The Blaines are a year apart. Getting both of them means that there won't be a Gilbert Moye era after Daniel and Patton graduate, or a true freshman starting at QB.
To simplify:
This year: Daniel (Jr.) - Patton (RS Jr.)
2008: Daniel (Sr.) - Patton (RS Sr.) - Gabbert (Fr. maybe redshirt)
2009: Gabbert (So./RS Fr.) - Dalton (Fr.)

Did I miss something? He's already committed to Mizzou? or are we just playing the speculation game?

He hasn't committed yet, but he's decommitted from Nebraska, he's going to his 3rd straight Mizzou home game tomorrow, and we're the only ones actively recruiting him right now.

The PD is running with this as well. This is great news for the future of the QB position at Missouri.

So, am I the only one who thinks Gabbert should've gotten on the microphone at halftime and did the Roger Clemens thing? That would've been wicked pissa.
