This is a very good analogy. Like a cat, Miles is small and adorable, and while they will crouch ready to attack, their pounce is just nothing compared to the vicious attacks by the pit bull that is Albert Pujols.

I'm a dog person as well, but saw a side of cats yesterday that intrigued me. Noticed my neighbors cat had something in his mouth, I figured a mouse or something, but it was a baby rabbit. That was pretty cool, the only thing my dog ever brought me like that was a dove.

When I was young and lived in the country, my dog used to bring all kinds of crap to the front door. Opossums, raccoons, birds, etc.

Our chocolate lab we had when I was little used to go swimming in the lake next to my parents' house (before I was born) and would come back with live fish.

I just saw the cutest dog running loose in our neighborhood and I don't recognize him. He came right up on my porch and wanted to be pet, so I went inside to get a bowl of water for him and he'd vanished when I came back out 20 seconds later. He looked to be a young dog but had no tags on his collar. If he comes back later, I'm bringing him inside.

I don't know when I'll get the chance, but in the next few years, I am getting a dog.
I want an Alaskan Malamute

My dog loves David Foster Wallace. But endnotes tend to make her sleepy.
