Did that last year. Didn't seem to work.

The Cardinals have the Puma now and good Team Chemistry(Copy Right 2011 St. Louis Cardinals).

AND IT'S APRIL1!1!1!

He got almost 400 PA as a 22 year old and hit .208 .242 .311 .553 OPS+ 48.

I don't think it was ego that kept him out of the big leagues until he was 25.

That's what I was thinking.

Sure it did. They shut up after the series. It was the Cards piss poor play afterwards that got them talking again.

Is there any place where I can bet large sums of money that Batista plunks Phillips? Or did the feds shut those sites down too?

As a former employee of the Westin next to Busch (which at the time was the 2nd best rated Westin in the world, unfortunately dropping after a weak-ass franchising in 2007ish), I am pissy over his hotel elitism. Now, it's been five years since I was down there, but back then, like 25 of the 29 visiting teams stayed with us, with only the doucher Yankees, Cubs, (hm...) I think Dodgers and someone else staying at the Ritz Carlton way the [expletive] out in Clayton simply because of their brand name.

I don't know if teams started staying at the Hilton @ the Ballpark since then, but if they did, maybe his whiny ass should complain to his team, instead of making his tweet sound like St Louis is po-dunk or something. Dude, as if Cincinnati has world-class 5-star hotels for you to get a cucumber eye-soak in.

/320am rant over

[expletive] the Reds

Yes, but he was also a 7 EARP (Ego above replacement player).

BP will never stop talking. Could lose all 3 games this weekend by double digits and next series he would be at it again. I think he just likes building up the series to try and get more casual fans interested. 2 of these games are on national tv and I think Phillips is just trying to sell it. I like it but I understand how it could also be annoying.

Really looking forward to the series. Hopefully the weather holds off.

I sorta do too. I like rivalries and I like the fact that he wants one and I like how it adds to the buildup of a series against two of the oldest teams in baseball, two NL contenders, two division foes, and two midwest teams.

Bring it!
