I can tell you why:



Not because of the blue turf. Because it only holds 30,000 and where it is there is no room to expand. Its right downtown stuck between campus buildings and a river. They will have to build an off-campus stadium with all the bells and whistles if they want to be in a BCS conference. Their teams are good enough but that stadium doesn't cut it.

I think Popeye nailed it with his comments about Boise. They just don't fit the "academic profile" of the Pac 12. Regarding a couple of other things about BSU, they just joined the Big East for football, so they are/will be in a BCS conference as of right now. And they recently unveiled a planned stadium expansion that will eventually put seating at 55,000.
