I can't Believe the America we live in today people getting upset about a clown putting on an Obama mask. Come on its a joke no need to turn it into something it's not. They have been making fun of presidents for years on SNL and the movies ever seen dead presidents? Get over it people I think it's Funny as hell just like when they made fun of Bush for him not being able to speak. I wish the media would stop turning everything into a race issue.

I have been to the rodeo too. It's a production, and an annoying one at that. Turns out emcee and some of crew were the same ones I saw.Radbird wrote:I went to a rodeo once.
In fairness to the rodeo folk, on this Obama satire-after they get done with the national anthem and grandiose displays of patriotism, they also get down to some heehawing good humor with a midget rodeo clown too.

Re: Rant: Missouri
I love rodeos. I went to a rodeo in Cody, WY once and I just laughed my ass off at this guy from New York City. So most of the contestants were local within 500 miles - alot from Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Idaho etc... Tough cowboy looking dudes, jeans and a Cowboy hat a bit of snuff and a snarl on their face. Then they introduce this guy - Sal Goldberg or some god damn thing - and he's wearing a baseball helmet with a facemask on it and just has an absolutely terrified look on his face. Sal finally figured out he wasn't on the buck machine at the Ol Corral Bar and Disco on 6th Ave, he is Cody [expletive] Wyoming strapped on to a very pissed off horse. I just remember my wife leaning over and telling me, "Oh, this won't end well".
And it didn't. Sal got bucked from that thing in zero point one second and ran like hell to the escape.
You should have seen these cowboys on the side trying not to laugh, but not being able to help it.
New Yorkers are hilarious.

Hey! Leave Columbia out of that. I'll give you (or anyone who inexplicably wants it) the rest of the state.IMADreamer wrote:I think that generally sums up everything Missouri between STL and KC.Freed Roger wrote:http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metr ... 5e327.html

Re: Rant: Missouri
I have been to rodeo in western setting(near Bryce Canyon Utah), and one in Illinois put on by the same outfit at the Mo state fair. I decided I don't like them much either place. inevitably the kid questions the animal abuse for sport, for which I really don't have an answer.jim wrote:I love rodeos. I went to a rodeo in Cody, WY

That said, the one I saw out west was better. The landscape and more authentic-looking setting...they didn't need a bunch of carny barking and crappy music or Obama-hate for the Foreign tourists attending.
The one I saw here was like a hee haw show on meth. Clown midget and all. Ah Missourah.
