i turned off sigs and avatars mainly for work but im too lazy to turn it back on so i never see 'em. plus, i feel like the site runs faster without having to load 'em. and yet, i have a sig and avatar that i force on other people.

Yep. Seems like people should be able to post as they like, and adjust their settings as they like, within forum rules. Don't you think? (And presumably "everyone at work" probably wouldn't have needed to change their settings.)

Vidor - I look at GRB from work, from my phone, from home. You're saying I need to adjust my setting as I go form platform to platform? Despite the fact that forum policies state that NSFW should be clearly displayed on content that could be objectionable? And how are people supposed to do that with their avatars?

The thing to do here would have been to change your settings so you don't see avatars rather than tell someone else to change their avatar.

Except you have to be logged in to block those. I read all the time at work without logging in.

It's your problem that you're using nsfw images which is against forum guidelines. I love me some digital cleavage as much as the next guy, but I get crap from co-workers who glance at Third Man's signatures, let alone something more nsfw. My understanding has always been that GRB should be safe to view from work unless a thread is specifically marked NSFW.
