LeBron opted out what, two weeks ago? If you had to sign a 4-5 year contract at your job in one of several geographic locations, I'm sure you could be forgiven for taking some time to think. LeBron's not even dragging things out compared to his peers. Dwight Howard signed later than today last year.

Don't watch Sportscenter, it's not any good anyway. You'll be bothered less by the stupid topic-mongering and you can get the info you want from other sources without the aggravation.

He's surely given this some consideration prior to two weeks ago, don't you think?

The CBA and salary cap of the NBA are wildly complicated. Wildly. Read some Zach Lowe on it. Especially for guys thinking of trying to squeeze people onto that Heat roster, they got to let some markets get set and some pawns played first. FA has been officially open for a couple days. Things are starting to settle, but it's not like all the paths were laid out clearly. They still aren't.

ESPN's coverage with unnamed sources making unfounded speculations though, is ridiculous.

Nothing is happening now (past several days). It's just waiting on the drama queen.

I've always liked pro sports better than college sports. In college sports, they do get money for living expenses and bling, but we all have to pretend that they don't.

The solution is to never watch ESPN or listen to sports radio.

Yes. ESPN's content is driven by ratings. Their obsession with their fav topics like above + Tebow and Roger Clemens back in the day are because people watch.

By the way, it's final. He's going back to Cleveland. #hottakes in the Other Sports forum are welcome.
