Renteria is gone, but Maddon hasn't officially signed yet. This is where JoeMad needs to say "thanks, but no thanks" and seek employment in St. Louis instead. Leave Theo hanging with blood on his hands and a job to fill.

I like Rick Renteria. I love Rick Renteria. I'd trust him with my children. Strike that, I want him to have my children. I'd vote Rick Renteria for president. If aliens invaded I'd want Rick Renteria leading the fight against them. Unfortunately, Joe Maddon is available, so....

I wonder if this makes the players trust Kid Genius less. I know if I were in the organization, after this I wouldn't ever be able to fully trust what he tells me.
