They're in no better situation than the Cardinals are. In fact, they're 4 games worse than the Cardinals.
Did I say i wanted to be the Pirates? No. I simply said I would've traded getting swept by Mil, to have played competitive baseball versus teams we will see in Oct. AS THE CARDINALS, not any other team. I'm more worried about creating a bad precedent against teams that we need momentum against. The season starts over October(3rd?), and I want our boys to have swagger.

Heyward gets two breaks - strike three called a ball and then Russell throws the ball away after making a great play.
