Re: Stupid drivers
This would be like me complaining about the Asian guy at work that pins people in because he can't park (duh). I would never do that.

I've done this as well, but mostly when they are noticeably driving like [expletive].

Me too. I love how they look up really quick startled. Hey dumb ass, that's why you don't text and drive.cardinalkarp wrote:Myles wrote:I've started honking my horn at people I see texting while driving. Re: Stupid drivers
I'd say it's probably close to 90% of the time that when a person is driving like complete [expletive] i'll pull up next to them and they're fiddling w/ their f'ing phones.
At this point I think MO should create a law (following what many states have already done)that having your phone out in your hands should warrant a ticket, no questions asked.
If you want to talk on your phone in your car, have it on speaker or have a hands free system; you shouldn't be handling your phone in any case for longer than a few seconds at most...anything more than that and you're probably texting, reading email, or looking at the internet.

Re: Stupid drivers
There was a dude weaving all over the road the other day, slowing down and speeding up too, when I finally passed him, i looked over, he was holding the phone to his ear with one hand, while talking and gesturing wildly with his other hand. Damn Italians... That was racist.

Those are the best reactions. They know they got caught doing something wrong. To me it is not much different than if they had a bottle of rum and were taking a drink.stlouie_lipp wrote:Me too. Re: Stupid drivers
Except by doing that and scaring the [expletive] out of them, they're also more likely to unintentionally swerve their vehicle and possibly hit someone/something.
Not that they're not just as likely to hit someone/something when they're busy doinking around with their phone and not paying attention to their surroundings...

Re: Stupid drivers
I have twice now opened my exhaust cut outs right beside a car who was on their phone. This one guy in a convertible was all over the road and going fast then slow. When the road finally opened up to four lanes I opened the cut outs got on it to get beside him then downshifted right by his door. 7 liters of open header loudness got his attention. I think deciding he couldn't hear any more made him put his phone down..
