I'm also more than a little jealous that you were at the game. I would love that experience especially with the home team winning and Sam Bradford being the one to help lead them to victory! I can only imagine how crazy the bar scene was in the area last night.

Technically, yes. The owners played the MN legislature and governor like Leroy plays a fiddle. They proposed an open air stadium with a little taxpayer money. But then the wise politicians said that there needed to be a roof so it can be used year round and can host other events like the Metrodome did. They did land the 2018 Super Bowl and I think there are a couple of other events lined up (maybe a Final Four?). But of course, somehow the Vikings (cough, their owners, cough) keep most of the revenue from the stadium (even non-football events) even though they put next to none of their own money into it. I'm also sure the value of the team has increased dramatically in the last calendar year with the stadium being built, so I fully expect the current owners to cash out in the next couple of year. Well I'm a Packers fan, so I would have preferred the home team lose the game.

It was roughly 12:30-12:45am when we finally got to our car, and had a 15 minute drive home after that. Considering I leave for work around 6am, we did not visit any bars. Plus we were obviously dressed as the enemy, although the stadium had a ton of Packer fans there too. Based on the intensity of the cheering, it almost seemed about even, but it was probably closer to 2:1 Vikings:Packers.

I would have taken Monday off in anticipation of going crazy after the game! Then again, I'm getting near 40, tend to live my life like I'm in my late 20s now and unmarried. Probably for good reasons!

At least I don't live like I'm in my early 20s anymore. I might be considered a mess as it is but that would be REALLY bad.
