2011 there was just a different feel to it. In 2011 you had a legit ace starter with Chris Carpenter who was able to carry you all the way to a WS ring, I like Carlos Martinez but he's not nearly as great as a prime Carp was. Carpenter when he was on is easily the best starting pitcher the Cardinals have had this century.

Cards were 3.5 GB of the Barves on this date in 2011 FWIW (after that day's games - they were 4.5 GB going into that date)

Fowler is back in Center; hope he is ready. If Carp's shoulder is bothering him would it not make more sense to put him at 2B and have Garcia at 3B?
