Shelly Duvall passed away over the weekend as well.
I'm actually going to the Stanley Hotel next week (which was the setting for the Overlook Hotel in the Shining). Apparently there is a tribute to her in the lobby. I'll report back. May have to hack through a door with an axe.

dr. ruth was a tad before my time...though i certainly remember appearances on talk shows.
90210 was also just outside my time...in the sense i wasn't the market audience but i just remember people loving the show and shannen being labeled "the bad girl".
i probably know most about richard but for his appearances on letterman or that whose line appearance. certainly easy to tease on him but he seemed like a very nice person, perhaps a bit dramatic but he definitely helped a lot of people.
i'm not sure one could find a more perfect olive oyl than shelly duvall. she definitely was unique and a good actress.

Today Bob Newhart. This one hits me. I loved his first show. I have several records of his also. A few years ago we caught his act in a casino and he was terrific. His dry style was so good.
