It's not officially a hobby yet. But I've been researching katanas, ko-katanas and wakizashis. Might pull the trigger on my first one for Christmas.
I'm not a gun owner, but my new rental house is in an area that's not the best. If I ever have an intruder, I'd like to have something that would stop them without the worry of storing a gun.

Leroy, you can keep the Princess Diana bear. Even the skull. But could you at least tell us where to find a leg or the torso or something we can put in the family plot?

EMTB. Put a used e motor on a decent Craigslist mountain bike. About $600 altogether. The uphills become as fun as the downhills. Not as scary as a dirtbike and way more trails. But scary enough still to be good for my anxiety.
I’d like to do more dirt biking as well but I can’t keep up with my brother. And his kid either very soon.
Also going to start going out to the range with my dad and older son to shoot skeet. Downside—it will be a very Trumpy place. Upside: immediate catharsis available in firing weapons at targets (very safely).

Shooting skeet is pretty dang fun.
I was just telling Mrs. AW I'm going to have to find a hobby. The kids are growing up so fast they take up all our free time. But, in the next few years, they'll be more on their own and not need us as much. Once they get into HS and don't need coaches for their teams anymore, I'm going to have approximately an extra 500 hours a week seemingly.

I love shooting skeet. I’ve done it like four times ever. Hoping to get out a little more consistently. At least outside of soccer seasons.
Also, when I’m a little worked up or stuck in the lower parts of my brain, I find the aggression, musicality, and possibly the bilateral stimulation of drumming is great relief. Sometimes I step away form the kit it feels like I’ve just meditated. It’s also helped drumming move into the mix as I usually just want to play guitar and lately piano.
I might be a really good drummer in four years.

id love to play my kit that i've had for 20+ years, but again, i'll never own a house so i can't when i live in multi-unit properties. i should sell it to a wealthy person since im not allowed that level of freedom or luxury. i'm just here to help generate revenue for a university and the county/state/feds while paying corporations monthly fees to lie to myself that life is great. this is all before my job will be taken over by AI and machine learning.
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

I have an e kit. They aren’t as fun. But with the proper rugs and acoustic foam I think they would be soft enough for pretty much any space.
Sorry things are [expletive].
