We need Tink to make the team out of ST.
he's the type of arm that just seems like there is a limited number of innings he is going to be healthy for. Just have him throw them at the highest level he doesnt embarrass himself at. If thats the majors, so be it. Get 60-80 innings a year and keep crossing your fingers - I dont see how he ever even reaches 120 innings in a year at this point before he runs out of options - so just use him and see what you got.

I'd love him to be a starter as much as everyone else, but he sure looks like a relief pitcher. And not an every day one.

I've long felt he should be converted to a closer.

Chase Davis - #28
Oof. But also…yeah.
Being sent to a developmental squad did wonders for Josh Baez's improvement. I wonder why they don't do this for Davis.

Same. The team could really use a good young flamethrower in the bullpen. I like O'Brien and Svanson, but there are a lot of spots open.

You have to be a subscriber to read the whole thing, but Baseball America now has the Cardinals farm system #2 behind the Pirates.

I say this with regular news sites, but someone should come up with a pooled subscription service where you can access multiple news sites with one pricier subscription. I don't know what the incentive is for the sites that lose direct subs once people find out, but someone smarter than me should figure it out. Maybe a base subscription that gets you access to certain content, but not everything. Like for news sites, I'd take news but no op-eds. Or maybe an article limit based on how you log in.

It’s a great time to be a Cardinals fan if your baseball enjoyment is derived from prospects lists.
