I was impressed with Bernal defensively; blocking pitches in the dirt like no other catcher this year has

So of course he’s the dh this game with Herrera behind the plate?

What the hell oli?

Herrera has only had one game he has sit out this year (pretty sure) He played JJ right after he was first hurt after the All Star game until JJ is now on IL and may not come back till we are back home. Oli likes to run our players into the ground.

I think 90 games DH, 48 games at catcher is fine. And he's the third best hitter on the team.

Unless the plan is for Herrera to stop catching, I assume he's going to get at least one start out of 5 the rest of the way, but probably two. Ideally they'd play Bernal for the other 3 or 4 and Pages would be catching in the bullpen, but for some reason they probably won't.

I'm fine with Herrera playing, but why not DH again and have bernal catch again?

bernal is obv much better defensively

I'd get that, but they just brought bernal up...let him catch again

Herrera can still DH

All I am trying to say is Herrera should be getting the same number of built-in days off as every one else

Mautz will be the openers. Hancel Rincon will most likely make his ML debut during the game as well.

Ump gives Yamamoto that pitch off the inside corner and we are screwed.

If Mautz doesn't throw strikes we are also screwed
