Hey all, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer almost three weeks ago and had surgery on the 1st. While I'm shocked and scared, I'm optimistic that they got it all and that it hadn't spread beyond my ovary (stage 1c). I still need to have chemo treatments and I'll find out more at my Wed. follow up appt.

Prayers for a quick and successful recovery!

Thanks, Freed. I knew this was ovarian cancer month, but didn't know about this event. While I won't be running the 5k, it seems like it'd be a good event to attend.

Hey Planet just wishing you the best. Go get some utter butter at your local farm supply store for when your hands get all burny and itchy from the chemo it will help a ton.

My mother has a suspicious lump in her breast--2 cm. She's had an x-ray and ultrasound, and is probably looking at a biopsy. I'm trying to speak to her doctor and figure out next steps, and what's even feasible for an 85-year-old woman.
