Hell, he'd probably be better than Freese. We could count on him for 500 PA, probably, even if every one is terrible. And he still is better defensively.

Freese could be on the DL the entire season and be likely to put up a higher WAR than Feliz.

I would be looking into the mid 20's "failed prospects/change of scenery" guys that haven't really got much PT for 3b next year. Andy LaRoche, Brandon Wood, Scott Moore types before I would look to actually spend money in FA. I'd also look into players that might be able to be converted to 3b. It's a position that can actually be taught, unlike 2b. And there's always Tyler Greene, who I think given a full time job will be a plus defender and hit like Juan Uribe.

Greene seems like a potential solution at 2 different spots yet the organization treats him like he has weeping sores.

I'd love to bring in Brandon Wood. The dude rakes in AAA but sucks as soon as he steps into the bigs. He could end up being a huge pick up... or a complete bust, but if the Angels give him up for not too much, I think it's definitely worth it.

Keith Law in his chat today was asked about an ETA for Zach Cox. Law responded "he wouldn't be shocked to see Zach Cox come up in the first half of 2011."
That's pretty surprising to me. I had assumed maybe a cup of coffee in 2011. Up for good in around mid 2012.

With rumors swirling about whether or not Rasmus will be back next year....I say if you move him, you move him for Shin-Shoo Choo and let Jay take over CF. Jay's bat is more tolerable at CF than RF and Choo is more consistent than Rasmus.

Try to sign Sweeney as a bench player/clubhouse guy
Let Anderson be the backup catcher
Sign Joe Beimel as your other lefty
Let Matt Carpenter and David Freese platoon 3b...or get a guy like Wes Helms or Melvin Mora as a back up option
Let Greene have 2b...and schu as a back up 2b/4th of

The guy has all of the tools to be Jim Edmonds. I didn't watch Edmonds coming up, and I'd love to see his advanced defensive metrics for his first few seasons. Is it at all possible in a Major League park against Major League hitters some of the 'mistakes' he's making is just an adjustment period to how the ball comes off the bat and getting some instincts?

You don't trade a league minimum guy you refused to trade till he got to the majors because a few people read too much in to a benching or two.
