I'm also happy for Dotel, Punto and Rhodes, journeymen also winning their first.

Freese had an insane and magical playoffs, but we just wouldn't be here without Carp.

Also, this ESPN article is great, and I would like it preserved in the archives of this thread.

Stark is easily my favorite ESPN writer. He looks kinda awkward in his video blog though. :p

I think it's really hard to comprehend just how much this team turned it around. I mean we all watched it but 2 months ago seems like such a long time ago at this point. I think out record puts it in perspective from August 24 when we were 69-64 to finish at 101-79.

69-64 to 101-79

That's astonishing

I kind of like his demeanor live. Just comes across as a regular semi nerdy dude who loves baseball.

The youtube videos of Freese's triple and home run are fun to watch.

Does anyone know what Carp was saying when they cut to him saying "now we are world [expletive] champions" then cut away quickly? I laughed my ass off.

I am happy for McGwire. He could have just faded away since the embarrasing congessional hearing, but chose to come back, admit use, and go through the firestorm. Must feel great to all be worth it.
I was thinking about how he doesn't have to do what he does, but he does it becasue he loves the game. Just
standing there, taking it all in.
