Colorado football moves to Plan B after Butch Jones backs out

Jones should have come to Boulder. He would've only had to go 2-10 to be hailed as a conquering hero.

You'd think that going to the Pac-12 would be a lot easier to win the conference championship then in the SEC. SEC is basically the toughest football league after the NFL.

Peterson has taken Boise State to winning a BCS Bowl game beating a big time opponent like Oklahoma a fear years ago. That's about as much as the ceiling at BSU probably is.

But if Peterson goes to Wisconsin he needs to install a red playing field so it'll be similar to the blue field he's used to playing on at Boise.

In honor of Tommy Tubberville leaving Texas Tech for Cincinnati, here is "Cormac McCarthy's" Texas Tech preview from August:

http://www.widerightnattylite.com/2012/ ... he-big-xii

9) Texas Tech: The raiders gaze dully at the ground. A dog barks outside the window but no one looks up at the sound. A man in a bespoke suit implores them from the front of the room. He begs them, threatens them, curses them to stand up and take the field. The raiders do not. A lineman spits at the fly lazily circling his head.

This man is an imposter. He is not their leader. The pirate was run out of town some years before by a scoundrel with a hole in his head where his brains should have lain. A stupid man, caught up in stupid and vainglorious pursuits. The pirate has taken command of another ship in the Pacific Northwest. He cannot help them win games. So they sit while the man in the suit yells.

Not sure why you'd leave a Big 12 team to go to a Big East team.
