I actually went there for the first time in years today, because some coworkers picked it. I got the pick two with Turkey Bravo and mac'n cheese. It would have been ok except it was $10.something without a drink and the turkey and avocado were still frozen in the middle. Guess I went too early in the day for room temperature toppings. See you again in a few years, Panera.

I ate it today. Half-and-half frontega chicken panini and Thai chicken salad. I enjoyed it. I am the 99%.

I don't have any idea what frontega is and am only half sure I know what a panini is.

I would take QuikTrip food over Bread Co any day of the week. Mobil on the Run perhaps.
Bread Co is my version of Wart Penance. females that I love in the house that like this place 100 times more than me. but, They aren't as big of fans as before, maybe my [expletive] is working. Or maybe it's Kolache factory that is working on them.
Backtracking: the experience-I check out, and I'm scratching my head at the bill -thinking of all the good meals I could have had for that kind of money somewhere else. I find a nook in the corner waiting for my buzzer to go off. maybe I'll get coffee, over at the banquet hall coffee pumps they have, elbowing past people. then come back and wait for the guy acting busy behind the counter putting together something like it's complicated-when in reality it's like a Landshire sandwich.
We've set 33rd's expecation bar pretty low, but I am still fairly confident he's going to put the place on par with, I dunno- a coffee shop with 10 Keurig machines or something like that.

What is the BreadCo thing you guys are talking about? Is that a Panera like St. Louis place?

When my buzzer went off, guy acting busy behind the counter looked at me like I'm the biggest ass hole in the world for placing the buzzer in front of him. Evidently I'm supposed to just know they have a special buzzer basket off to the side and he can't be bothered.Freed Roger wrote: Backtracking: the experience-I check out, and I'm scratching my head at the bill -thinking of all the good meals I could have had for that kind of money somewhere else. St. Louis Bread Company IS Panera. St. Louis Bread Company was bought in the 90's by Au Bon Pain, rejiggered, and after local success, the model was taken nationally as Panera. Around St. Louis, the original name has stuck around.jim wrote:What is the BreadCo thing you guys are talking about? Is that a Panera like St. Louis place?

I like the place too. Two hot dogs-not near as good as the ones from our local Home Depot-but have fresh kraut, pico, relish oe whatever you want. Good value.Their donuts are good. They do enough biz so that someone is out there keeping the stuff going. Roomy aisles, not many showdowns for the next coffee pour. The taquitos and the fairlife choc milk-awesome after a trail run at the state park. The employees at checkout always are quick, and seem to enjoy their jobs. Free air for the tires-that actually works. QT fan here. Damn I hope its not some part of koch bros conglomerate.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:Omg. QT food is great. Taquitos and buffalo chicken sticks. I don't think anyone knows what frontega means. They probably changed a letter in frontera to make it trademarked.jim wrote:I don't have any idea what frontega is and am only half sure I know what a panini is.
