Why don't you go troll elsewhereFallenFromGrace wrote:Cardinals hire Joe Maddon: greatest hire in the history of the world.
Cubs hire Joe Maddon: Cubs are liars and scumbags of the world. Managers are devalued and Maddon is vastly overrated.

Be sure to visit during the season. It gets really fun here in the fall.

Cubs are always scumbags of the world. That has nothing to do with Maddon.

Yeah I think so. I'm sure there was a post or two in here to that regards, but it certainly wasn't from me. I've been very consistent in what I've said about Maddon and the Cubs. He's a good manager, he also brings some confidence with him, and he won't cost the Cubs a pennant and may help them achieve that goal. If they do, he will be about the 10th most important reason behind guys like Bryant and Russell and deep pockets.ZigZagCardsFan wrote:I think you're reading one forum and posting at another.FallenFromGrace wrote:Cardinals hire Joe Maddon: greatest hire in the history of the world.

But probably not, because they are still the Cubs after all.

I'm a big Maddon fan....just don't see this as the baseball equivalent of hiring Bill Belichick.

With Maddon's grey hair and thick framed glasses kind of looks like Martin Scorsese.

Given some value of "or so" I guess. But it's a pretty big value.TruffleShuffle wrote: Well, Epstein and Hoyer are widely regarded as one of the top 5 or so front offices in the game.
