I'm glad Kim Anderson got a moment like last night. He's been a terrible coach with terrible results, but I have no doubt that he's done right by the program as much as he can. He deserved a high note and he didn't have one at all in 3 freakin' years.

I will agree to that. I'm sure he's a wonderful man who is just over his head in his position. It has to be difficult landing your dream job and failing spectacularly at it.

Nope. My daughter may go, but I'm stuck with a basketball event with son. I hate seeing Sikeston lose, so I'm okay with missing. They've struggled since kicking a starter off about 5 weeks ago. I'd be shocked if they stay within 20 points.lukethedrifter wrote:What would be great State Final matchup, Sikeston v Vashon on Saturday. Unfortunately, Sikeston, Vashon and St. Mary may be the three best in Class 4, but only one will make it to Columbia, IIRC.
WG has a great path to the Final Four.
I wish there had been a way for Sikeston, St. Mary and Vashon to all make it to Columbia, but there's no system that would allow that really (meaning selecting locations based on rankings each year).

The media making this big deal of Duke winning 4 games in 4 days to win the ACC as if it is some herculean effort is ridiculous. Fake news. Sad. It's never been done before because only lower seeds have to do it and lower seed don't win because they're not as good. And, while it's a disadvantage, 4 games in 4 days for 20 year old kids isn't a big deal. Very fake!

So, the end of the SEC championship game got pretty chippy. Apparently Monk made some throat slashes towards the ARkansas bench and Moses Kingsley basically punched Fox. Hannahs got a flagrant for setting a pick with his elbows and forearms. Turned into a hockey game there for a while.

Bill Walton is such a tool.
He was going off during some game he was doing Arizona/UCLA? the other night about how Gonzaga is a trailer trash team and the Pac-12 is THE CONFERENCE OF CHAMPIONS. He said CONFERENCE OF CHAMPIONS like ten times. Really? I can't remember a team from the CONFERENCE OF CHAMPIONS ever winning except Arizona a couple of times and yeah, UCLA before I could even walk. So is it? Go [expletive] yourself and dobble on about your time in Hawaii smoking pot or going on tour with the Grateful Dead or some such nonsense, toolbag.

After he went on about Conference of Champions he mentioned Colorado's ski team and Utah's women's indoor track. Or vice versa. Totally relevant to the basketball tournament.Leroy wrote:Bill Walton is such a tool.

Another old timer that's become unwatchable is Dick Vitale. He's always been quite animated, but now he's rather incompetent as well which is not a good combo.

Can someone explain SC as a 7 and Arkansas as an 8?
And by the way this will be the third tourney in a row in which we lose to UNC in the third round, if we beat Seton Hall.
And looks like I'll be in attendance
