Is it a single? Was it caught? Did a squirrel trip the outfielder and turn it into a triple?
... Next up is Eckstein.
Oh, I guess it was a single.
I didn't get that at all. When they didn't say "caught" and I didn't hear cheering, it was pretty clear to me.
But these guys aren't real good radio announcers. I can't think of anyone on the Cards radio broadcasts who have been this lame. .
This raises a philosophical problem. If a Cardinal gets a hit that no Pirate announcer mentions, does it exist?

This is the second year now that I've had XM and the Pirates announcers are probably the worst announcers in the NL (imo)....
The Astros guys, however, are a close second..
So, for those harping on listening to games on the radio...don't think by listening to these Bucs announcers that this is how it always is...cause they suck compared to a lot of other announcing teams..
FYI, the Reds announcers are very good, as are the Phillies and Brewers pbp guys

Yeah, I guess I'm just a radio novice. I plan to keep it that way.
Alberto is really struggling.

PDub strikes out with less than two outs and runners in scoring position. Imagine that.

At this point, I think it's a natural law, like gravitation.

I know nobody wants to say it out loud, but I am getting concerned about AP, he struggled all ST, too. I thought he was breaking out of it in the last game at Houston and first game at Pittsburg. What's up?

I think he started slow a couple of seasons ago as well. Maybe Deidre hasn't seen tapes of his swing yet to correct it.
I don't know why McRae is still batting coach. I think he is worthless. Oquendo actually helped Molina late last year

He's never started this slow, has he?
