If you go into the Xbox setup, do you see the wireless network name?

- you should try running a wired connection if you can just to make sure it's not the modem. Maybe there's some limit set on the number of IPs it will distribute, or some other limitation.

I'd go with trying a wired connection if you can manage it. That would narrow things down a bit. I'd bet there's a way to go in and change the settings.

Not sure how much you want to troubleshoot it yourself, but there's some really helpful forums here:

There's a forum for almost every major ISP (not just DSL). I go here anytime I'm stumped on Comcast related stuff. Really knowledgeable people who will probably know what to check once you tell them what you have.

when you say "try a wired connection", do you mean moving the tv and xbox near the modem, hookin it all up with cables and then seeing if i can change it later?


i can do it, it'll be a little extra work, but its manageable...if thats what you meant
