They should just stop calling the RAV4's of the world "SUV's". They are cars now, since cars don't really exist anymore in the US.

Re-reviewing the last page my tone was weirdly aggressive toward you. I don't care about cars that much. I promise. Sorry about that!

No worries, I was not offended. Your point is well-taken - the old school style SUV's are a very niche market, do not sell overly well, and are not great as daily drivers. I understand that the smaller crossover style "SUV's" sell much better and are better fits for most drivers. I just think they suck from an aesthetics and excitement standpoint. Since I only spend about 60 total minutes in a car each week, I can easily opt for the less comfortable rides.

Changing the subject from SUV's, I am having an extreme internal debate right now whether or not I should go test drive a 2004 M3 convertible that I have found nearby. I don't really need it, but I kinda want it, and it would be an easy upgrade over our Saab 9-3 as our "fun" car. It would probably take some convincing for my wife though, since she really likes the Saab.

Also considering checking out a Vanderhall - another toy that we certainly don't need, but I have a hunch once we drive it we'll want it.

Audi RS7. I think it looks incredible and every review I've read/watched say it is. So I hope it is. We have to go Indianapolis to see it.

She has some injuries from a previous car accident that exclude her from riding a motorcycle comfortably, even if I had a seat for her.

She would love the Vanderhall though. We drove a Slingshot a few years ago, and she loved that. But I don't really dig their looks. The Vanderhall has both sweet looks and the fun factor.

This thing looks cool, but how should it be used? If is fast or is it more about "the ride"? Can you take it out on a highway?

I’ll be honest upfront - it is completely impractical. But it is completely street legal, powered by a GM 1.5L turbo I-4 pumping out 195 hp. The power to weight ratio is pretty damn high.

They ride like a go-kart. A really, really powerful go-kart. Fun for putzing around town and on backroads, but not something you would want to take on a long highway ride.
