Best wishes and prayers, Sigh.

Hard decisions when faced with wanting to fight for a parent, but not wanting to ruin quality of life. Whatever the outcome, may you each be at peace with your decisions.

Rd. 1 of chemo complete! They really have their [expletive] together to manage this process IMO (including discomfort, side effects, etc.) Hope my side effects are mild!

BTW, once I'm done with this, I'd be happy to talk with anyone facing similar circumstances.

Thanks for the update, planet. How many rounds of chemo are you in for?

Best wishes with the side effects. I've heard that many types of chemo have gotten better for this, so hopefully that is your experience!

Hopefully 3, maybe 4 for good measure. Ironically, the better I do with chemo (ie. no side effects), the more likely I'll need to do the 4th one. If not, my last one is scheduled for 12/3 which would be perfect.

Sounds like a positive step. Hope you get to stay on schedule.
