After hitting three doubles but scoring just once in Los Angeles' seventh loss in nine games, Pujols claimed he still isn't worried or frustrated by the Angels' 4-9 start.
''That's why we play 162 games,'' Pujols said. ''We can get a good streak going and forget about what happened in April. ... We know that things could be better, but they're not, and it's not because we're not trying.''
Pujols extended his hitting streak to nine games with his first three-hit game for Los Angeles, although his career-worst homer drought to open a season stretched to 13 games.

Let's go a different direction.
Colby Rasmus has his first hitting streak of the season. It's up 3 games. In that time his average has sky rocketed from .188 to .227, safely clearing the Mendoza line. He has 1 HR on the year and a line of .227/.271/.341/.612 for an OPS+ of 64 raising his OPS+ in Toronto to 44. It should be noted, he has just 46 games with the Canadian ball club.

Poor guy. I've moved so far past him as a Cardinal that now I just hope he can salvage a decent career for his own sake.

The fact that Rasmus has been in the 8th or 9th slot of the batting order every game except one is as scary as the small-sample size numbers.
