Reportedly for about $850K/year for 4 years. $1.2 Million buyout if he leaves. Pretty ogod chance he'll leave before that and the hiring school will pay the buyout.
He was pretty active, fwiw, with every opening. I think his guy contacted everyone from Auburn to the Bobcats of Bay HIll area community college university of commuknity college university.

It'd be tough to be an AD at a mid major. YOu know if you get a good coach, major conferences are going to hire him away. If you get a bad caoch, high school games will draw better than your program. You need to find a guy that can win, but not in a flashy way that doesn't want to go to a better program.
Really, though, you know they're trying to get the best coach, and build the best program possible in order to move on up the ladder as well.

If Barry Alvarez was in Ohio on Tuesday, he wasn't intereviewing Matt Campbell. Toledo left for bowl in Boise on Monday night. #badgers

Gary Andersen? That's an interesting choice. Not a bad hire per se, but I was kind of surprised when I moseyed on over to Bucky's Fifth Quarter and saw fans acting like they just stole Nick Saban away or something. He's 30-31 in his career, and has coached teams with the following records: 4-7, 4-8, 4-8, 7-6, and 11-2.

Re: NCAAF FBS Coaching Vacancies
He was U of U's DC in 2008 when they were 13-0 and his Utah St team was very good this year and played tough vs Wisconsin. He looks more disciplined than Bielema and a better in game coach. He is the type who could compete with Urban Meyer in recruiting, player development and game management. I'm happy. The years of mediocre records were while he was rebuilding. He is supposdly bringing in assts from Utah St and Utah and his quarterback who will have two years left after sitting a year.
