The ABS really came into play in this one. Shoooo buddy.
Every ABS challenge in the game was during a Sal Stewart at bat; mostly him successfully challenging strike calls except for that last one that Crooks got.

ha. I find it interesting when the ABS challenges take place sometimes. There were several misses on the right side of the plate that neither team challenged. Ump did not have a great zone today.

Yup. Teams save them when optimal seems to be like your taxes: no refund, no pay in.

If you're saving them for situations such as the ninth, you're most likely leaving potential value on the vine.

That ninth inning was something. Can’t believe we survived that game.

Really entertaining baseball game.

I imagine the system will be tweaked. Too much strategy and not enough actually getting the calls correct. ABS has eliminated umpire vindictiveness and forces them to call a real zone. That’s a huge victory.

This is the sort of game the Cardinals would have lost the last few years. I'm still not convinced this team is legit, but have e like this give me confidence.

Depends how you define legit. They are probably around a .500 team. I wouldn’t call that legit. But at least competitive day in and day out.
