My guess is he'd been shopped all offseason. He's now on the market behind some bigger FA's.

CJ Cron getting traded makes room for this guy, Pujols I think is his name, to take over full time at 1B.

It just seems odd for them just to cut ties with one of their better bats from last season.

In my dreams, they move him to DH and let Ohtani man first.

But that won’t happen.

Jarrod Dyson to the D-Backs on a 2 year, $7.5 million deal. Seems like a good value for them.

If you're the Phils and ready to contend, is that really who you want to be spending on?

Three team trade that has the Yanks getting Brandon Drury and the DBacks getting Souza.

Now would be a good time to get Chris Archer.

They do need a veteran, former superstar, pitcher to groom the younger guys. Nola kinda reminded me of Jake, in repertoire.

Although I think that Pujols will get more 1B starts then he got last year with only 6 appearances at the position, he won't be playing 1B full time. You have to figure that Ohtani is only going to be able to DH 3 out of every 5 games since he won't bat in games the day before and day of him pitching.
