Agree totally about Pi. The food is very good but the atmosphere gives me a rash.

Something is weird about the acoustics inside as well. Whenever I'm there it sounds really loud, but the music isn't that loud and I look around and there won't be many people there and they're not talking loudly.

The acoustics aren't weird, it's just all hard surfaces. Once I worked for a restaurateur who always said the only thing worse than a noisy restaurant is a quiet one.

No way, I couldn't even hear myself think. It blew, I'll only eat there for now on when outside seating is available.

I read somewhere recently that BLL had a crazy debut in Canada this summer and sold out everywhere. ( I'd expect better from our brethren to the north).

Also been reading thatABInbev market share and volume is eroding - the lone bright spot propping up sales is the highly successful BLL.

One reason was that Bud Light “got smacked,” in the words of Beer Marketer’s Insights. Volume dropped 7 percent. And even though Bud Light Lime is up 9 percent, that is “nowhere near enough to offset Bud Light drop off.” Budweiser volume fell 14 percent.

Had some Guinness 250th Anniversary Stout tonight. Sort of the midpoint between Guinness Draught and Guinness Extra Stout. Basically a lighter, milder version of extra stout. Not much head but it has a smooth taste. I prefer it to extra stout because I'm not a big fan of ES, but overall it was kind of disappointing. I was hoping for more from a special Guinness brew.

Left Hand Milk Stout. This is the second best beer I've had lately. Very, very delicious. A pretty drinkable stout, even for amateurs. Some creamy chocolate and coffee flavors.

Just had a couple of these today. I concur with your review. My reigning standard bearer for the brown ales is still Rogue's Hazlenut Nectar. but at $7 a bomber I'm trying to find a cheaper substitute.

i'm not sure if they distribute any further north than nashville, but if you can get your hands on some terrapin india brown you will not be disappointed...it's their cross between and IPA and a brown ale...very delish.

Smokey completed a batch of IPA about a month ago. We took several bottles on our trip to CO. It was delicious.

I will be in Wisconsin this weekend riding the MS 150. I will have to pick up some prized New Glarus beers while I am north of the border. Any recommendations?

I'm pretty sure Budweiser is the only beer that gives me hiccups.
