She probably needs someone to sit her down and tell her to take a semester off. Try again next year, sit the next play out sport.

This is probably besides the point, but isn't there a sliding scale for how much money you get back as well depending on how late you drop a class. I dropped 1 class in college and it was the last week I could do it. Iirc, it was like a 5-10% drop for each week you waited and if you dropped it in the first week you only got like 50% back anyway.

Not that this girl really cares....

I might write this on the rec letter that she will ask me to write for her. She is good at creating legal documents that have been signed by people before they have read them.

FYI-most schools you pay a flat fee to be full time. Just as it doesn't cost you anything extra to take 18 hours versus 12 hours you don't get money back per class as a full time student. If you withdraw from all of your classes, then you are dealing with the situation that you talked about. Or if you are going part time and paying per class, then you would get part of the money back per class.

But she is full time and doesn't get any money back for just 1 class, rather by withdrawing she gets a W on the transcript instead of an F. Her F will be there until she can take the class again and earn a higher grade.

Now she is going to have an F and has to deal with the serious issue of forging a professor's name on a document.
She should be expelled.

If she isn't and remains at the institution, I will have the pleasure of having her in class again next year when she retakes the class with me.
