Why is Jay being forced into a role that he is no longer suited for? This team doesn't need him to be an every day player anymore because we have about 5 better outfielders than him.

List players on the active roster right now that are better CF than Jay. Grichuk still hasn't thrown, Pham is AAAA filler, and Heyward--well maybe, but Heyward has played RF for almost all of his career and if you move Heyward to CF you have to stick Reynolds in right, probably.

I like what Pham has shown more so than jay. They pulled him as he was getting hot

I'll take Piscotty/Pham/Heyward or Piscotty/Bourjos/Heyward over a lineup with Jay in it. Bourjos' numbers are quite bad this year but he hasn't gotten consistent playing time and I like his skill set more than Jay's.

Jay is a career 2.89 hitter, and a very average one at that, with serious defensive limitations and now on the wrong side of 30 with some injuries under his belt.
