Wasn't anywhere near to the level of this (meaning the guy we talked to didn't say anything that would get us sued,) but at my first station, we covered a story of a Jimmy John's that was robbed where the thief only got away with a cookie.

The big thing was that the cashier recognized right away it was a toy gun, so he didn't open his register, the thief just grabbed what he could which was a bag of cookies, except they all poured out save one.

The shift before mine interviewed the cashier who, after the first question, said right off the bat "I could tell it wasn't a real gun"... and the anchor just kept plowing through her questions. "Were you scared? What were you thinking? How does it feel to be staring down a gun?"

I believe that some people simply don't think on their feet. They must walk through life in a total fog, simply going off of script.

Starts snowing here tonight. No blizzard but 6-12" through Tuesday morning. The last time they predicated 4-8 and we got two feet so the snowblower is on standby.

60 here today. Spent the day at the cabin doing some clean up from the flood. I'll take this for another month or so then it can start warming up.

Don't really want to wish anyone ill, but I hope my friends in Nebraska who made fun of people for buying bread, milk, eggs, etc. ahead of a snowstorm are suffering just the teensiest, tiniest bit now that they have close to a foot and a half and the plows have basically given up.

I was watching that fully expecting for him to yell Baba Booey.
