Diaz better make up for his error by cranking one over the fence here.

This team doesn't play well against good teams

For reals...lackey looks like [expletive]/can't throw a strike tonight and we keep swinging. Are the cards not watching video of this [expletive] tonight??

Which is amazing, when he's not near the plate...all night long and they keep swinging. We could have 10 walks if we just wouldn't swing.
Pitches start off as strikes and then just fall slightly out of the zone. Much easier said than done to lay off these pitches.

This isn't like the liriano game where they were swinging at pitches that didn't even start out in the zone.

This is just big time pitching.

Lackey is a good pitcher...he did this to the Cubs a year ago at Busch. The problem is that he should be pitching for the Cardinals.

No, no it's not...none of the stuff he's throwing are strikes...I've watched a couple times/keep going back and watching.

He's nowhere near the plate/doesn't matter if they fall slightly out of the zone. If he was throwing strikes and then starting things that start in the zone, but then fall out; I'd understand...he's not throwing any strikes.

If they have someone in the video both they can say, "hey, the guy has thrown like 15 ACTUAL strikes tonight. You keep swinging at balls. Stop."

Tonight more credit goes to Lackey pitching a great game than it does Cardinals being bad hitters.

Matheny is going to have to learn to have a quick hook with leake. He's similar to Garcia. Both can be dominant early, but when they lose it, they lose it quickly.

Unfortunately, lifting a starting pitcher with a low pitch count is literally matheny's biggest weakness.

Disagree completely...and I love a great pitched game. If he'd thrown a great game, id say it/tip my cap.

But I've never seen our team hit (or not hit) like this in a LONG time.
