It's not commercially available on DVD except in PAL format. If you have a region-free DVD player they sell the discs on Amazon.

You can, erm, find it quickly and easily and subtitled and for free on torrent sites. Like, incredibly easily.

Worst episode of The Killing yet, and it's made all the more disappointing with how good last week's was.
[SHOW]
I'm all for character development, but not when you've got three episodes left in the season and have oh so many loose ends to tie up.

Waste of my time. Linden is too private, has demons and her choices are affecting her kid. Holder has a troubled past but is a genuinely nice guy. We got it. Thanks. Move it along, please.

I was about to watch the last two tonight, but [expletive] it. They took enough of my life already.

Game of Thrones:
[SHOW]
Drogo, ripping the dudes tongue out, through his throat? Crazy.
I didn't know the White Walkers would turn out to be Zombies.
Lots of drama w/ the Starks being hurt badly. I really hope the swordsman teaching the daughter lives! Don't tell me any spoilers though.

re: Game of Thrones

I'm away from home for the weekend, so I didn't get a chance to see it yet. It's the episode written directly by the original author. Awesome! Can't wait to catch up on it! Next season's episode he is writing is going to be magnificent; it deals with the largest open battle in the saga. I have no clue how they're going to do it justice, and he even joked that he wrote too complex of a battle to ever expect to film.

I can't really talk about Syrio without spoilers, but I can say that he's one of the most universally beloved characters on the main forums for the saga, and that actor is just nailing it. Man, I can't wait to watch Drogo kick some ass.

Martin doesn't go into much detail explaining The Others (who were renamed the White Walkers for the show, partially because of Lost, apparently) or their wights, or the difference between the two, or if there even is one. The lack of explanation makes scenes with them all the more thrilling, but fans definitely are in suspense wondering what's really up with them.

Apparently my mom switched over to HBO right when Drogo was deflowering Daenarys, and therefore is definitely not a fan of the show. It didn't help when I explained that she's only supposed to be 13 in that scene! Haha. Moms.

I don't mind an episode like that in a vacuum. For instance, the fly episode of Breaking Bad from last season was awesome. But it didn't take place so late in the season and there wasn't so much left to be resolved and blah blah blah. The exposition that happened in that episode just as easily could've been sprinkled in throughout two episodes while focusing on other, more pressing things. You'd lose the urgency of what happened
[SHOW]
with Linden losing Jack

but whatever.

I think that's my big gripe with it. If this happened in Episode Three, OK, no big deal. But in Episode Third to Last, the plot really needs to get moving. I know this is a character-driven show, but a whodunnit needs the pace to keep going.

Is it only going to be one season? Or is there any chance it'd spill over into a second season?

I would hope if they have a 2nd season, it's a different case. Might not be how it happens, but I'm thinking they'll lose a lot of viewers if this case isn't solved in the next two episodes.
