Splitter and slider look absolutely nasty so far. Fastball has some life left in it. Definitely looking good.
good to hear.
Dexter, I recommend that you find some way to watch this game, you're missing out on a treat!
checking my streaming resources. usually i can find one when we face a team like the dodgers or redsox because they have so many fans but im s.o.l. with the padres.

That said, I'm really excited to see him in a Cards uniform today.
He doesn't have to be better than Billingsley though. He just has to be better than Boggs/Welly.
You missed the point entirely.

What we're doing with Smoltz after 2 IP is roughly equivalent to deciding that Pujols is a terrible hitter because he looked absolutely lost in three consecutive ABs last night.
I'm just happy to see the stuff is indeed still there. Even if he falls apart starting, he'll have the best stuff in the bullpen.

We're up 4-0 in the third and we've had the bases loaded twice with no outs twice and failed to score.

Yeah, that's all I really meant. The stuff is far far better than anything we've seen from Boggs or Welly.

We all know it's only 2 innings. But 2 innings of great is better than 2 innings of awful, no?

Good to see we have all the Cardinal fans wanting to post the greatness of John Smoltz so all us Cubs fans will know about it. I mean without you guys here we wouldnt know about the John Smoltz greatness.

Seriously, nobody gives a damn ok?
