I did, but I didn't see anything definitive. I saw on the intertubes some mention of a program called "unlocator," but in the comments section they mentioned MLB was cross-checking against subscriber address and still blocking some folks.

I'm not sure what he was using when he got that, but a VPN (what unblock-us is) isn't the same thing as a proxy. It sounds pretty foolproof if you're willing to pay $5/mo

edit: wait, it says VPN in the screencap. derp. I've still heard of it working though.

edit2: it seems as if the error message says that VPNs wont work if your VPN is in the local market. If you set your VPN to be elsewhere, it should be fine. I think?

I'm not sure, but it seems like what they're doing is cross-checking the address of the credit card you have on file with the game you're watching instead of solely relying on your IP address, rendering the proxies/vpn's/IP address spoofing useless.

They can't use that as a reliable method, really. Too many people traveling, not to mention stationed overseas to do that. I think, and this is mostly speculation, i really have no idea what i'm talking about, that proxies and browser extensions are more detectable by the software. A VPN is a lot more secure and should get you around whatever proxy detection they have.

I guess unblock-us is actually a DNS service and not a VPN? Maybe that's why it might work

Did the Unblocker plug-in stop working? I suggested that last year during the postseason.
