No one inning doesn't, but he's at 106 pitches. He could easily push 120. That's the kind of thing that we used to mock Dusty Baker for with Kerry Wood and Mark Prior.

And it's not just one inning more this game. We've pushed him beyond 110 pitches twice already. He'll eclipse that again... that's a 22 year old going over 110 in half his starts.

It all adds up. We're not talking about Strasburg stuff here. We just don't want him completely gassed when September rolls around. Kid's never pitched more than 150 ip's in a season. He's on pace for over 200. That's a lot for a grizzled veteran let alone a 22 year old.
Boo yah. I'm concerned that he'll be torched by August.

One inning will not gas him in September. I have to confess that the "it all adds up" point of view drives me nuts. Might as well go Full Strasburg.
