Good thing Philly locked him up. That 5 year/$125 million deal starts in about 5.5 months.

Now that I'm down from my euphoria from winning, that really does suck for Howard. He was in a lot of pain, I'm sure, and fanforever has a good point.

I don't think Ryan Howard would stand for his career to be over this early.

is it his ACL or his Achilles? It looked like an Achilles injury and that's all I've read about before seeing Jocephus' post.

Howard's MRI reveals ruptured Achilles. Recovery time "won't be known until after surgery." But no "guarantee" he's ready by spring training
