I don't know if you're just being facetious but, catchers do that drill to toughen up their hands. A coach will throw the ball from about 10 feet away.

I don't know if you're just being facetious but, catchers do that drill to toughen up their hands. A coach will throw the ball from about 10 feet away.
Forgot blue font,,, I figured it was something like that. But the image of a 93 mph heater hopped into my head when I saw this.

Albert could throw it at 93, pass it on his way to the plate, catch it in his teeth and throw a runner out at second just by spitting it out.
