Did I never share this one? The Flaming Lips teamed up with Henry Rollins and a couple other bands a few years ago and remade the entire album of Dark Side of the Moon. About half the songs sound exactly like you'd expect the Lips to sound playing Pink Floyd (Breathe, GGITS, Any Colour You Like, Eclipse). The other half are extremely stripped down and/or trippy as hell (On the Run, Time, Money, Us & Them, Brain Damage). They alternate back and forth between these two styles. An example of each:

Flaming Lips cover Space Oddity by Bowie.

Wayne's voice sounds pretty rough and it ends poorly/abruptly, but the performance is full of wow.
