Perhaps not a great comp but better than thinking you can just practice your way to being an NFL quality QB.

That's not what the Denver coaches think.lukethedrifter wrote:

Re: Rant: Tebow
Thinking a guy that has played QB his whole life can be taught how to throw a ball after he's already in the NFL is about like an NBA team drafting a shooting guard based on athleticism and assuming they can fix his shot.

Re: Rant: Tebow
I forgot I even started this thread.
My main issue is the hype/media crap behind him. I listen to a lot of national sports radio on my long commutes. He hasn't been good this year, despite his team coming back and winning some games there for a bit. He had some good 4th quarters but was terrible before that. Now he's not even having good fourth quarters either. He threw for 50 yards yesterday, his team lost, but they backed into the playoffs. Guess who the first person being discussed was when I got in the car this morning. Mr. Tebow. Not the record-setting QB performances. Not the unbelievable games guys had yesterday. Not the playoff picture. Tebow. Ugh.

I don't typically care much for figures who only exist in the public eye because of how pissed off other people are about him, but in this case I'm enjoying it.
Not a Bronco or a Tebow fan per se, but it's hilarious to listen to local radio here substitute Tebow's name with "God" on a routine basis and get so ticked off about his success.

Not that the Broncos are going anywhere in this year's playoffs, but being drafted when everyone was saying not to and helping lead a team to several comeback victories and not to mention helping the team get to playoff football when it hasn't been there in six years; yes, I'd call that success. It's not easy to win in the NFL (As myself and other Rams fans have learned).lukethedrifter wrote:He hasn't really had any [success]
I understand right now (and likely going forward) he's not the answer and is not a good QB. But that doesn't change the fact that he's had success in the early going.
