Random?..... He's probably not a .370 hitter vs righthanders, but putting the screws to fastballs is what he does. Not chasing curves out of the strike zone seems another thing that he does. I think he's gonna be just fine.

Chris Duncan, OF, Cardinals: Another son of a former big-league player (his dad is Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan) the left-handed-hitting Chris Duncan spent most of April and May in the Minors but rocked big-time in the big-leagues in July (.324) and August (.361).
Another update on Baby Dunc's slugging since 8/11....after two home runs tonight.
He has 59 total bases in 96 at bats for a .615 slugging percentage. Not terribly close to .440.
To put this into perspective, if he has 48 more at bats, he will have to slug .083 to satisfy Steverino's prediction. That is to say that if Dunc has only one hit in the last 48 at bats and it is a home run, Steve is on the money....
This is what amazes me. Duncan's slumped terribly in September, hitting .212 with a .305 OBP..... and has still managed to put up a .462 SLG. And that's on top of the monstrous August that he had.
