Re GM, I hope the government doesn't decide to extend any more loans. It's time to call in the bankruptcy gurus and do a real work out, because GM's board and executive leadership is not up to the task.
$150 billion would fund NASA for 10 years
Not even $150B could make the Space Shuttle safe.
It's being phased out--fortunately.

This is pretty mind boggling.
The value of global financial assets including stocks, bonds and currencies probably fell by more than $50 trillion in 2008, equivalent to a year of world gross domestic product, according to an Asian Development Bank report.
Dang that's a big number.
