RC21 wrote:This is what amazes me. Duncan's slumped terribly in September, hitting .212 with a .305 OBP..... and has still managed to put up a .462 SLG. And that's on top of the monstrous August that he had.
Looks a bit like Dunn's August.... .188/.284/.416. Only better.

HE does now. I just brought him up.

Come to think of it, you mentioned him too.

There is enough Dunn/Duncan discussion in the other thread. We don't need it here. If you want to discuss Omaha's comment citing Dunn as an example, just quote it, and copy and paste it in the other thread.

So you're giving yourself this: #-o or are you giving it to me?

Final Numbers are in:

Duncan since 8/11/06:

.280/.362/.587 in 143 ABs

22nd highest slugging percentage in baseball since that date.

Of all players with at least 300 PAs this season, Duncan had the 11th highest slugging percentage.

And how appropo, after K's his first 3 at bats vs a southpaw...he breaks up a shutout bid with a crushing HR to centerfield off that same southpaw.

Sure would love to see him pick up right where he left off at the plate next year. Oh, and maybe play a lot better outfield....

Steverino is nothing if not accountable. So although there were no stakes attached to my friendly wager, I have nevertheless amended my signature accordingly --
